From the fiery Aries to the liquid Pisces, everyone can access in all its elusiveness by placing the Clodagh watch on the wrist…O as the physical connects to the ephemeral and becomes one.

Paesaggio by Michael Graves

“Paesaggio” (which means landscape in Italian) is a silk version of a Graves mural called “Industrial Landscape,” created as part of his series of paintings and drawings exploring the theme of the Archaic Landscape. These evocative compositions include assemblages of simple geometric building forms placed within fictional landscapes that are reminiscent of the designer’s beloved Tuscany.

Michael Graves

Michael Graves received his architectural training at the University of Cincinnati and at Harvard University. Among his many completed projects are the Portland Building, the Humana Building, the Clos Pegase Winery in the Napa Valley, and the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels. Graves is the winner of fifteen Progressive Architecture Design Awards, nine American Institute of Architects National Honor Awards, and thirty-eight New Jersey Society of Architects, AIA Awards.

When he was awarded the National Medal of the Arts, President Clinton characterized him as “a rare individual who finds equal wonder in things both large and small. As one of our century’s most important designers and architects, … it’s little wonder that Michael Graves’ work can be found from our shopping malls to our National Mall.”

Absence by Richard Gluckman

“The design of the scarf incorporates some of the ideas we have been working on in our work; transformation, transparency , and symbol. The light bar could be seen as an architectural form or an absence of form.”

Richard Gluckman
Richard’s design process (architecture and otherwise) comes from—and is influenced by
—his collaborations with minimalist artists. As an architect of museums and galleries, he designs spaces that are least obtrusive to the artwork, revealing the strengths of the building and concealing its weaker points.

He has been called “the invisible designer” by the New Yorker Magazine, a high compliment, in terms of designing to allow the space and what goes on in and around it to complete the experience. Thus, the beauty/strength of the design is enhanced or realized upon its use(s).

We thought “Absence” was appropriate for his method of revealing what is easily to missed.
